14 123456789101112 6:15
15 123456789101112 9:30
16 123456789101112 4:45

A Few Worked Examples

Clock 1: the short hand points at 3 and the long hand points straight up at 12, so it reads 3:00.

Clock 5: the long hand at the 3 means 15 minutes, so it reads 4:15 (quarter past 4).

Clock 9: the long hand is just past the 7, which is 37 minutes, so it reads 5:37.
